Activision has recently announced a data wipe for Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4 DMZ: Recon game mode, resetting any progress made on those modes. To compensate for the COD Mobile DMZ data wipe, the devs will provide free rewards based on the asset value. Let's dive deep and check out on what actually gets reset post the DMZ: Recon reset.

COD Mobile DMZ Recon Content Wipe Explained

As mentioned earlier, the data wipe will only affect COD Mobile's DMZ: Recon content. The developers have mentioned that the reset is necessary to make room for more new and meaningful content. Moreover, a wipe will take place at the end of each season, starting with Season 1 of DMZ: Recon. Season 1 of this mode will begin alongside COD Mobile Season 4 on April 22, 2026.

Content That Will Be Wiped

The following content from DMZ: Recon will reset at the beginning of the season:

Contraband, attachments, armor, backpacks, loot, ammo, ammo armor plates, throwables, access cards, special items, DMZ cash, and unused vouchers in the Warehouse.
Trust Levels at Kurohana Shop, Underground Offers, and Atlas Corporation Lab in the Black Market will reset to level 1. If it brings you any relief, you will receive DMZ cash rewards based on your faction level before the wipe.
Ranked Match Level will reset.
Insured slots unlocked through Faction Missions will reset.
Attachment progress that has met unlock conditions will refresh to zero.
Unclaimed vouchers and loot in pending emails will reset, too.

Content That Won't Be Wiped

The following items will remain intact after the COD Mobile DMZ data wipe:

DMZ Recon Level.
Talent Level.
Catalog progress, story progress, and season bonuses in the Collection system.
Unlocked weapon camos, weapon blueprints, operator skins, weapon blueprint fragments, DMZ Reactive Camo Boxes, and Kui Ji's Weapon Cases.

All the loot boxes from your inventory will no longer be accessible after the wipe. So make sure to open all of them and claim the rewards they offer. Once you are done, you can get your hands on the COD Mobile Season 4 Test Server and try out unreleased features.

COD Mobile DMZ's Data Wipe Rewards Revealed

Players will receive an exclusive season avatar frame after the wipe is complete. This reward will be distributed in tiers based on the worth of assets accumulated before the wipe. The tiers run from assets worth 10 million to 10 billion.
