How was Cameron Green Run Out in KKR vs SRH IPL 2026?

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 2 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The sixth match started with KKR captain choosing to bowl first after winning the toss. To everyone's surprise, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma made an outstanding partnership of 82 runs in 5.4 overs. They wreaked havoc on the KKR bowlers from the starting, leaving them no time to recover. At the end of the 20 overs, SRH ended up scoring 226 runs. However, in the second innings, a drama happened during the match when Cameron Green run out sparked controversy in the last ball of the seventh over.

How Was Cameron Green Out against SRH in IPL 2026?

KKR's star batter Cameron Green wicket came in the seventh over when he was trying to take a run. Angkrish Raghuvanshi hit the ball straight to Eshan Malinga who was bowling. He tried to stop the ball but it hit his shoes and went towards stumps of the bowling end. Meanwhile, Green, who was standing at the non-striker's end was within the crease but when he saw Raghuvanshi running, he started to run.

By the time Eshan Malinga picked up the ball and ran towards the stumps and hit it. However, the batters kept running and thought that they have crossed each other. Hence, Raghuvanshi started walking towards the pavilion. But the third umpire confirmed that it was Green who was out since the batters didn't cross each other. He was out on the score of two runs. KKR batters struggled to score runs against SRH bowlers. However, Raghuvanshi slammed a half-century in the match before getting run-out. This was the second run-out of the match. He showed skills to be one of the best wicket keeper in IPL.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi Gets Run-out Against SRH

KKR's batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi was also run-out in the match after Cameron Green. However, Raghuvanshi scored 52 off 29 balls, including six boundaries and two sixes. He played a fine innings but was unfortunate enough to get out without finishing the match. It was a complete mix-up between Rinku Singh and Raghuvanshi.

While Rinku played the ball towards the backward point, and started to take a run, Raghuvanshi was midway. However, Rinku saw that the ball was in the fielder's hand and turned back towards the crease. By the time Raghuvanshi walked back, the fielder made a solid throw and he was dismissed, leaving KKR in a tough situation.
