The seventh match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 3 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The Super Kings didn't have a great start to the tournament as they lost their first match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 30. It was a poor performance by the entire team in terms of batting and fielding. Ahead of their upcoming match against PBKS, former skipper MS Dhoni was spotted having a conversation with Arshdeep Singh.

CSK's star keeper-batter and the best wicket keeper in IPL, MS Dhoni, has been with the franchise since its inception. Starting from captaining the team to playing just as a player, the 44-year-old cricketer has come a long way. He has always had valuable conversations with youngsters before and after every game and just a day before the clash, MS Dhoni tips to PBKS bowler Arshdeep Singh during the practice session.

They were seen speaking to each other on the field and the video went viral on social media. The fans praised Dhoni's attitude and how he gives advices to players even if they are of opponent teams. The viewers were excited to see MS Dhoni vs PBKS game but he will not be available for the match as he is ruled out for two weeks due to calf injury.

The fans surely missed him in the previous game since he was not playing and they needed a finisher who could have put in those extra runs in the death overs. Dhoni is CSK's highest run scorer in the tournament's history and the team has won five trophies under his captaincy.

Will MS Dhoni Play in PBKS Match?

CSK's former skipper MS Dhoni will miss the upcoming match against PBKS tomorrow due to the above-mentioned injury. He is most likely to play against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 14. He is seen during CSK's practice sessions but is currently in rehab.

The franchise played Sanju Samson as the keeper-batter in the first match. His performance was unsatisfactory as he scored just six runs and went on to midfield in the second innings. However, this is a good time for the Super Kings to try out new players since this might be Dhoni's last season.
